I disagree with your observation. I think DDIM is placing ads in the Seattle Times (I have seen them) left and right because there is a lot of demand out there. This is a good thing, not a bad thing. A programmer can't just walk up to a company and say that he will fix their Y2K problem, he has to be represented by a firm like DDIM. Judging by how much DDIM looks like it is willing to pay for programmers I would imagine that they are making a tidy cut.

Otherwise why would they pay a bunch of money for people unless they were going to benefit handsomely themselves?
