I believe that some comments that you made on your note were too subjective. Since you do not own any OREX, this reply is intended for present OREX shareholders.

I reside in the same county as OREX. They have been a customer of mine for telecommunication services for the last four years. I own shares in OREX as a long-term investment. The question in my mind is how long do I need to hold onto OREX to reach my $5 1/8 breakeven.

Spoke with Rick Copland yesterday at the EPA at (919) 541-5265. I wanted to get an update on the status of the EPA's issuance of their "Air Regulations for Medical Waste Incinerators" regulations which has been updated as of June, 1996.

Rick told me that these regulations are going to be issued sometime this month for an probably effective date of January, 1998.

During the next several years, these regulations will give OREX's products a proprietary niche in the hospital supply marketplace.

It will be more cost effective for hospitals to use OREX products than
to spend the capital dollars to upgrade their incinerators.

OREX's problem during the last few years has been with the large buying groups for hospitals. The issuance of this EPA regulation is the government backing that OREX needs to break the hospital buying group's resistance.

With the current price around $3 a share and a book value in the $4.50 per share range, OREX may be a cheap acquisition target for another healthcare company to acquire OREX's current products and its patents.

It may be in OREX's best interest to be acquired so that they may obtain the funding to expand their product line and for quick entry into the hospital buying groups.
