Hi Joe,
Good to see you back online. I thought after your last DMX purchase you came down with the 'mywifeisgonnakillmemywifeisgonnakillme..' syndrome. LOL
Flashing, For Tick watchers only
"Larger trades, real time bids/offers are flashing (only the pros can do this) so a few big boys have DMX on radar"
The following is what I observe and is only my conclusion. To illustrate, here are two examples:
CASE 1 -1000 shares 1 lot on the offer -then it jumps to 26000 2 lots -then 10 seconds later its gone, back to 1000 shares 1 lot -this repeats a few more times and disappears -At times there's no response, but sometimes there is a response at the bid, for example the # of shares on the bid jumps at a certain price. -Minutes or several transactions later, a large 25K trade happens. Expected!?
CASE 2: A broker has time to kill, the activity is down for a stock. The bid price keeps bouncing around. For example, its usually a relative larger block, which could be either at the bid or the ask.
-5000 shares bid at 5.50 -then seconds later its gone and 5000 bid at 5.30 -this repeats, daring someone to place a market sell order
Just 2 examples of what I mean by price flashing. Its usually involve relatively larger sized bid/ask.
Its like Jim's "ballet" in motion. A kind of sign language. I guess these traders don't know whose at the other end and using the bid/ask to hand signal. Otherwise, I would guess they can phone each other to setup the relatively larger block.
I doubt Retail accounts can do these tricks unless they were using "professional trader workstation" <gg> LOL. I'd be glad to hear from any retailers who are able to do the above.
I was Tick watching DMX last week and noticed this a couple of times.
What bones do you figure Rebecca will include with the 2Q? FDA, HC, EU related???
I hope she'll NR today despite the American holiday.
Anyways, have a great day. |
