Sold footage of a King speech for use in TV commercials (a French Ad for Alcatel) Opposed National Park Service plans for King memorial in Atlanta because it didn't include projects meant to generate profits for family-run organizations Demanded the park service pay higher annual fees for the right to conduct free tours of King's birth home. *Slowed plans to build a King memorial on the Mall in Wash, D.C. with warnings that the family would only cooperate if a family-run organization got a large fee.
