Of course, most of history is "speculation."
?????
SO the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 is just "speculation"?
GREAT! Then the US dropping those two bombs on Japan is just "speculation", too! End of problem.

It is not simply a question of whether or not Japan could have acted differently. It is a question of whether or not there were
moral alternatives available to America which were less inhuman than the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is not
disputed that Japan had been trying to effectuate a surrender for nearly a year before the bombs were dropped. The one
impediment to this was the requirement that the abandon their God.

I was wondering how you were going to squirm out of this. Life is a bitch, you know it? The Japanese decided tpo gamble- -and lost. C'est la vie. Or not la vie.

This is what prevented them from saying: ""WE SURRENDER UNCONDITIONALLY!"
And two mushroom clouds...

nor of the lessons that may be taught or learned.
Like Americans are a bunch od mad dog killers?
Doesn't say much for you Canadians, being so closely allied with us.

This is poorly speculated to avoid grappling with the evidence. Your head in the sand approach is perhaps comforting to you, but it is lazy and ill met.

but the truest co-operation stems from a genuine goodwill and a heartfelt regard.
Yeah- -right up until they bomb your fleet. Ot skyscrapers.

This is not a legitimate apologia for attacking civilians.
Maybe you should have a discussion with the Chinese about Japanese conduct.

This was not the position. It was the posture.
Let's see was it at Casablance that the allies decided they would accept only unconditional surrender?

Your lengthy diatribes are tiring.
