dayniteshadow,

This is a long shot, but... Is it possible that your system has been infected with a Word macro virus? Have you scanned your system recently with an updated virus protection program?

Word macros viruses usually attached themselves to the "Normal.dot" word template file. This file is usually located in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates" folder (might be elsewhere on your computer). Locate the Normal.dot file on your computer, right click on it and select "Properties". Click on the "Statistics" tab of the Properties dialog. If it shows that it has been recently modified, delete it, then try to start Word again. Word will automatically create a new Normal.dot file.

If this doesn't fix your problem, restore the deleted file.

Hope this helps.

B.K.
