nightowl, i'm taking that bet. the rams didn't show me much last week. greenbay showed me a lot. they suck. they outrushed the rams, the outpassed the rams and they outplayed the rams - only to turn the ball over a horrible 6 times - 3 for tds.

philly has put up over 30 points on tb and chicago. philly sent miller to the locker room. 3 consecutive pass plays led to receivers being taken off the field hurt.

that defense is T-O-U-G-H.

the last 4 playoff games they gave up a SINGLE td off a trick play (set up by an absolutely HORRIBLE personal foul call!). nobody has scored more than 21 points on them in 2 seasons - including the rams (who barely beat the eagles when they weren't nearly as good - neither were the rams, though).

mcnabb is arguably the best qb in the league. put him on the rams and you DON'T NEED warner AND marshall. his mobility, arm and intelligence are amazing. imagine mcnabb throwing to the rams' receivers with 8-10 seconds to let them get open! :-0 next week is his coming out party and the eagles know it.

i've never seen a game where a qb had so LONG to throw the ball as nabb had last week against chicago - a defense right up there with the rams. it is too bad that his receiving corp is below avg - not too bad for the competition, though ;-)

this is going to be a GAME. if the rams take philly as lightly as everyone else, they will LOSE - forget the points. i don't think they are that dumb, though, so we will have a great contest.

my keys to the game are:

1. turnovers.
2. red zone offense (does philly's excellent defense give to the rams' excellent offense or the other way around).
3. special teams.

last week was fluke - brett had guilt for calling warner "pop" and he got what he deserved. ;-)

i FULLY expect to take money from folks who are illogically betting the current media darling. one radio host guarnteed the rams in the superbowl. we'll see... ;-)
