Hello Kidl

MGJ has had a few NR's of note in addition to activity at SVB that seem to have been lost in the either.

Worth taking a look at:

EXPANDED DRILL PROGRAM TO FURTHER TEST
MAJOR GENERAL'S GREEN BAY PROJECT

Vancouver, BC: Hudson Bay Exploration and Development Company Ltd., an Anglo American plc Company, announced today the company will further test the 741 claim Green Bay property, Newfoundland, it holds under option from Major General Resources.

A 3,000 metre drill program will commence in March of this year which will follow-up on results from the $600,000, 2001 field work and 1,800 metre five-hole drill program.

In one of the five holes drilled, visible stringer style sphalerite (zinc mineralization) and chalcopyrite (copper mineralization) was encountered over a wide interval and, in a second hole, visible clasts of sphalerite were seen within a 7-10 metre thick felsic volcanic breccia. This breccia is interpreted to represent a channel-fill feature analogous to ore horizons at a number of the Buchans (Newfoundland) area deposits. Three holes did not encounter significant mineralization.

Detailed geological mapping has defined upper and lower felsic volcanic sequences within the Catcher's Pond Formation, both of which have potential for VMS style mineralization. Whole rock geochemistry has confirmed the host rocks at Green Bay are similar to those 70 kilometers southwest in the prolific Buchans mine area. Deep-seeking induced polarization geophysical surveys completed in December over two target areas identified several anomalies. Their significance will be assessed early in 2002 prior to drill testing.

Hudson Bay holds an option on the Green Bay property granted by Major General, which allows it to earn up to 75% joint venture interest by taking the project to production. The mineralization sought is similar to that at Buchans, where mines over a 57 year period produced over 16,000,000 tonnes of ore grading 14.5% zinc, 7.5% lead, 1.33% copper, 126 grams per tonne silver and 1.37 grams per tonne gold.

Major General is exploring for diamonds in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories in addition to precious and base metals across Canada. The company trades on the CDNX under the symbol MGJ.

MISTY LAKE DIAMOND PROJECT, NWT

Preliminary results of an aerial geophysical survey recently completed by operator BHP Billiton Diamonds Inc. a subsidiary of BHP Billiton have been presented to the Company.

BHP Billiton completed a 2800 line kilometre, high definition airborne electromagnetic survey over the majority of the company's 330 square kilometre Misty Lake Property in September. Preliminary interpretation indicates the presence of a variety of scattered geophysical anomalies on the property. BHP Billiton technical staff will undertake further interpretation and evaluation of the data to determine if any of these anomalies represent potential kimberlite targets for drilling. BHP Billiton must drill test its selected targets within two years and if kimberlite is encountered by drilling BHP Billiton will earn a 35% interest in the property. BHP Billiton may increase its interest in the property to 51% if it completes a 200 tonne bulk test sample on any one kimberlite. A location map of the Misty Lake Property, which is located immediately to the south of the De Beers Mountain Province, Kennady Lake property, is available for viewing on Major General's website, www.majorgeneral.com.

SVB of course will garner the most initial market attention, but the Misty Lake work by BHP is intrigueing as that property is very strategically located.
