leading economic indicators tell the story
Eight of the 10 components that make up the leading indicators index rose in December, led by jobless claims, the treasury yield curve, money supply and the average workweek.

Two components, capital goods orders and manufacturers' new orders, fell in December.

so the economy is reviving
people are losing jobs less
we are working a little more
expections of future deflation are waning
money is sloshing throughout the system

but we will make do with current equipment for a while
doesnt sound too good for bigname techs
it does sound good for those who will use their tech equipmt

I dont expect things to improve anytime soon on tech equipmt mfrs
all of Asia is now complaining loudly about Japanese currency devaluation
and its effect on their competitiveness
the TSUNAMI is slowmotion, therefore largely ignored by the media
but this deflationary wave is relentless within mfg
our mfg environment can only be desribed as in a "depression"
