I'm just noodlin here but under the present law, passed by your buddies in Congress, there is NOTHING you can do about a credit inq from a credit organization, they do not need your permission.

The "Dean/Whitter" thing could be harmless error. Send them a letter and they will correct it, if you wish.

But by all means, check with your attorney.
