re: Partitioned Drive Lettering under XP Pro with PM7

I am using PartitionMagic 7.0 (under XP Pro) to partition an 80MB drive.

When a new partition is added it leaves the CD-ROM as Drive D and the 1st new partition is E.

I would prefer the CD-ROM be the last drive letter as this is the way my 2nd desktop client and laptop are set up (both partitioned using earlier versions of PartitionMagic and WIN 98 which assigned lowest priority to the CD-ROM when assigning drive letters.

Any ideas on how I might work around this so first new hard drive position is D:?

TIA,

- Eric -
