Down in anticipation of earnings -

NVLS reports today, KLAC tomorrow, LRCX on Thursday. Judging by the downtrend last week and the current weakness, I expect that AMAT will close below 37 by the end of the week and will probably get down to 35 by early February. There is a possibility of a spike down to the low 30's if something shocks the stock market (another Enron, another Osama...).

NAS will probably break below 1800 on a short term basis.

Positives from the upcoming conference call - "Cautious optimism", "bottom in Q1 - maybe", Last years "no visibility" will be upgraded to "poor visibility"

Still waiting to pull the trigger...
