I was drinking with a guy that owns a truck stop last night, and he said the amount of business at his place has not shown any improvement at all.

A welding supply salesman was also hanging out and he was of the opinion that the recession was already over. I don't think his opinion was based on his sales though. I think he was just stating the party line. "Recessions only last two quarters, and they are always over before you know they have started." He said he hasn't had any slowdown in his business. He is either a good salesman or a good liar. Probably both.
