Lost1, I had that same idea. When I bought my new computer last fall I made sure it had a good modem I could use in an emergency. Anyway, when my place flooded in November the CPU got a couple of quarts of water in it. Like I said before, I poured out the water and the computer worked fine. A few days later I tried to use the modem and found out it was dead. I guess it is in the bottom of the tower and it drowned.

By the way, I wrapped some bricks and now my CPU tower sits on bricks on the floor.
