Not only is the ROM nugget "not" lost, "it" is still on display in the "Gem Room" along with 4 California huge nuggets, and a great many other gems. At least "it" --and the others--- was on display as of yesterday, 12:30 PM PST.

He also stated there was an extensive B&W photographic record of all the ROM's gold nugget and gold specimens collection that he knew was out of print and issued by a governmental agency in their capital's archives.

I never thought to ask if they had an entry in the "largest Silver Nugget" contest category.

I'll email him right now, and pass along what I find out.

Thanks again for that silver nugget story...what a kick!
