Eldorado Gold To Sell 47.6 Million Spcl Warrants At C$0.42 Each

VANCOUVER -(Dow Jones)- Eldorado Gold Corp. (T.ELD) will sell 47,619,048 special warrants at 42 Canadian cents each, for gross proceeds of about C$20 million.
In a news release, Eldorado said each special warrant will entitle the holder to acquire, without further payment, one common share.
Sprott Securities Inc., the underwriter of the private placement, has the option to purchase up to an additional 11,904,762 special warrants for additional proceeds to Eldorado of about C$5 million, it said. The option is exercisable at any time prior to closing.
Eldorado said it will use the proceeds of the private placement for general corporate purposes.
The offering will close by Feb. 13., and the special warrants won't be offered in the U.S., it said.
At last report, the gold mining company had about 102.3 million shares outstanding.
