Hi Patricia,

WOW! I am surprised that they didn't ask you to stand on your head and dance a jig. <ggg>

Thanks for posting that response. Just a few comments.

The "C:\windows\downloaded program files" is the same folder that "Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options" - "General ... Settings ... View Objects" displays. I erroneously forgot to tell you to change the view to "Show all files"...sorry.

By the way, was the Dialpad US Java Applet there? If it was and you deleted it (as instructed), you should follow the rest of their steps in order to completely remove it from your system.

There is an easier way to accomplish step 12. Once you get to the C:\windows\java\packages folder, select "Tools/Find/Files or Folders". Type *.* in the "Named:" box and "Web2PhoneHelper" (without the quotes) in the "Containing text:" box. Verify that "Look in:" contains C:\windows\java\packages and press the "Find Now" button. This will locate all files in that folder that contain Web2PhoneHelper.

Then continue following their instructions. The last set steps (1 - 11) will remove the dialpad programs from your registry and hard drive.

Note: If the Dialpad US Java Applet was NOT in your "downloaded program files" folder and you never deleted it, then you should not have to follow the rest of their instructions...Dialpad never loaded onto your computer.

I am sorry that you have had such a difficult time with Dialpad. I hope that you have better experiences in the future.

B.K.
