Collectively, better individuals make a better society.

You probably don't believe in natural selection, do you? You know, Darwin? Or is it just social Darwinism, like the nazis?

Even if you do, where do better individuals; or, in the free market system, where do better companies come from, anyway? Is it breeding? Or is it learning from experience? Are all those who make mistakes to be cast aside like so much rubbish, or to be appreciated for suffering on our behalf? Is making a mistake because you've been lied to count as one of your losers?

Does George Bush's mother in law fit your profile of a loser who can't accept personal responsibility?

``What I'm outraged about is that employees didn't know all the facts about Enron,'' said Bush, who was a friend of Enron Chairman Kenneth Lay. ``My own mother-in-law bought stock last summer and it's not worth anything now.''
