from briefing.com

16:40 ET CheckFree (CKFR) 16.68 +0.35: Reports Q2 pro forma EPS of $0.00, $0.01 better than the consensus of ($0.01); revenues were $121.3 mln, vs consensus of $119.41 mln. The co projects Q3 revs of $119-$124 mln and EPS of $0.01-$0.03 (vs rev/EPS consensus of $131.23 mln/$0.02), and expects to be profitable for FY02, with EPS growth in the high single digits (consensus EPS for FY02 is $0.04).

Good news is that rev exceeded expectations and pro-forma profit looks good. This is due to more efficient (cost cutting) operations. Bad news is the 6% sub growth and the 4-6% sub growth guidance which drives the top line and the stock price. Let's see what Pete has to say about sub growth on the CC. Probably the BofA advertising won't show up in the sub count until the following quarter. Look out below!
