I have no argument against a free and open press.. well maybe the personal details of individuals private life could get some less attention.

I am always most interested in where a persons (or nations) attention is focused, as that leaves lots of items to be ignored or forgotten about. That is the conspirators art. Removing attention from the items they wish not to be reviewed.

all they had to do 60 years ago is accept Israel as a neighbor, in peace, and they could have had their own peaceful and prosperous state long ago.

Well, all sorts of problems there. Some nutball Zionists probably didn't help matters either. But you are right, it's sad that a peaceful solution was not obtained. I just wonder how much life experience could have improved all around if peaceful intentions had won at the outset.
