Why would people with goodwill and regard harm one another?? Ask Yamamoto. Or Osama bin Laden. You should also ask yourself why nothing was said against the atrocious Japanese treatment of the Chinese until after America entered the war. It was simply ho-hum. Say what???? Remember the US embargoes against Japan? The ones which are often used to claim the US provoked the attack? You do know, don't you, that they were preceded by a US demand that the Japanese withdraw from China? And that when Japan thumbed its nose at us, the embargoes were our answer? Their answer to that was Pearl Harbor.
