MEMS technology is working itself into lots of products. The fabrication techniques are so broad and varied that I doubt it will by itself become a mo-mo sector. There are three areas where it is likely to have an investment surge: (1) biotech devices for sensing and control; (2) switching chips for clean power; (3) 100 gigahertz to terahertz computing and communication devices (and test equipment - likely the first commercial application of high end microwave equipment).
