>> my guess is the avg asian gets much more of a physical workout on a daily basis than their american counterparts. it seems to me that has to be factored in. <<

absolutely correct. rural asian farmers get much more exercise than their american counterparts. they make up a huge percentage of the statistics. of course the traditional asian diet doesn't include coca-cola and deadly trans-fats like we poison ourselves with here in america. if americans simply stopped drinking soft drinks and eating margarine cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer rates would plummet.

>> i eat enough carbos to feed the brain <<

your brain doesn't require you to eat carbohydrates. your brain will function just fine without a single gram of carbohydrates. capiche?

>> and avoid long term ketosis which can be very dangerous to some individuals. <<

poppycock. ketosis is not dangerous you dope.

>> i supplement monounsaturated fat in order to help keep my insulin production in a "zone" <<

fat has no effect on insulin. why do you think i advocate a high fat diet. better go read that zone diet book again!

here, let me point you in the right direction! take note of the source of this info--none other than your guru mr sears himself!

If fat has no effect on insulin, why do we have to limit fat intake at all?
Fat, especially monounsaturated fat, has no effect on insulin
