Current information says that the price of i845G at the moment of its release is to be $46 which is $5 higher than its non-integrated brother i845E.

That's about the price for the single channel nForce chipset. The i845 is also a single channel chipset. However, since Intel manufactures their own chips, they may have much lower costs than nVidia can achieve. This would translate to better margins, which is usually expected in Intel products.
