The gent I spoke to on Monday at ROM stated he didn't consider the Croesus "it" even a nugget, EC. DARN! That was no fun to hear after all the build-up.

Sorry, but that's what he said. He did speak of it in terms of "a large quartz specimen with gold showings all throughout" and "quite striking", and "crystaline gold, not a rounded placer, nugget type gold specimen" and "but we do have some wonderful large California gold nuggets which we are proud to have on display."

OTOH,
Perhaps Kirby's digital photos will come out quite beautifully, provided he's permitted to take pictures in an extremely secure room with other valuable gems. I'm doubtful he gets pictures but will be thrilled if he does. Nugget or gold in quartz. Regardless, he and anyone else who flocks to ROM to view the gold exhibits in the Gem Room are in for a pleasant, even inspirational outting! I'm jealous. Now, I've got to put Toronto's ROM on my travel itinerary.

I think they are all beautiful!!!!!!
That's me...gold nugget/quartz w/gold lover...easy to please.
