Did a little bit of research for an American client a year or so ago. Related to Canadian bank/insurance company exposure to derivatives and any other "off balance sheet" trash. What I found caused me considerable heart burn and prompted some serious selling by the clients, even though the Canucks were not nearly as aggressive in this stuff as were the Yanks. Dated stuff now, but indicative (unless much has changed, which I doubt).
