Please also read my response to Eric. I was able to take six pictures, although amateurish, and will let you know when and where you can view them. Not hard in an unsecured room in an unsecured exhibit in an largely unsecured museum. There is security for displays that are visiting, now being the Asian dinosaurs, but the ROM's dinosaur exhibit is so terrific, this to me was just a minor exhibit.

I didn't use a size guide, but size will be evident when seen in the case. Those beauties he was talking about from California had to be between 5 and 10 kilos. They are obviously placer nuggets, but as with the LAMuseum pieces Bob posted there were all those other kinds of nuggets as well. Some look like crystaline wire, and some look like rolled wire. Most of the Canadian gold of size was still encased, so just because this nugget Eric is talking about is still encased as it is a museum piece doesn't disqualify it in the category, nuggets still in existence. Don't forget that Austalian wasn't placer and what we're seeing is just a replica.

I'll let everyone know more when I have more to report.

Gotta go for now.

Regards

Bob
