He implied that he had friends who told him the steps to take to start a business. There is nothing wrong with that. It becomes wrong when the only way to find out this type of information is through your contacts, the good old boy network. The purpose of the SBA was to provide the information and training necessary to allow any motivated American to start a business. I can't speak personally how well it performs it's function, but I maintain that is a necessary function lest only members of the "club" be clued into the American dream. Private clubs are not bound by any inclusionary rules and all too often they were used as vehicles of privledge, at least in these parts.
