Paul, currently energy prices are terrible for producers. However, I sense a shift coming towards oil independence from the Middle East. Look at the current Saudi bashing. If the Middle East supplies look threatened, local energy sources should play. Harken has done some pretty stupid things (reverse split, Columbia, etc.), but how long can their ineptness continue? Their Global sub is a neat way to raise funding for those operations without direct HEC dilution, not bad for shareholders. They have recently tightened their belts. TA suggest a bottom. Everyone currently hates Harken, just the time to buy IMO.
