Ted, a country that can't stop drugs probably can't stop guns either. The only way to keep them out of the hands of criminals would be to keep them out of the hands of everyone and I don't think we could keep them away from criminals even if we did ban them.

Tim, that's the most lame argument that the NRA uses. Because people are going to die any way, why bother to find the cure for cancer or any other disease for that matter.

And of course, the inverse to all that is that we are one of the easiest of the developed countries to buy a handgun.

And not in a million years would I suspect the media of hiding the issue because it might benefit the NRA cause.

Obviously we have very different opinions on this. Most news anchors or newspaper writers are pro gun control. A large number of them look at the NRA or any one else supporting 2nd amendment rights as dangerous kooks.

Sorry, I don't see this as being anything but paranoia. But you might want to think about why people see pro gun advocates as kooks.

And later [I am getting ready to leave here], I want to discuss why its so easy for you to believe that media people don't give pro gun advocates a fair shake but then you seem to be very willing to accept the premise of the Town Hall article which is that minorities typically get a fair deal now when minorities say over and over that things are better but not good.
