You, as well as I, should not equate Dan3 with AMD. At this point in time, it is unclear what the purpose of the "debt" offering is.

It wasn't just Dan3. All over the net, AMDrhoids have been making a huge deal out of Intel's spending some of their cash for future fab capability. It is ironic that the first of the 2 companies to go for debt is non other than their favorite. Whatever it's for, who needs to take on debt unless you have to.
