Fingerprints, iris and signatures, CIC's specialty, are biometric. The more the merrier for security and there is no standard - nor never will be IMO, because to build effective security, you need multiple combinations of security. My guess is that over time of the 3 types, fingerprints are probably the easiest to replicate. You can dust the pod that receives the print. Anything static can be digitized/copied.

The beauty of signatures is that there is movement involved. A digitial read combines space plus step that makes it pretty hard to copy. Later on, CIC can add a motion/time component to its biometrics (if not done already).

Also, regarding signatures, a digitized pad serves more purposes than a simple fingerprint or iris reader and is cheaper to implement because it uses existing technology (eg a Wacom board starting at $99). You can surf the web with the pads, as well as sign your name. I use my Wacom board to surf the web. It's far superior to a mouse ergonomically.

CICI's stock price seems to have stabilized after 3 q. Looking for improved results from security and proliferation of Palm/CE + pen controlled wireless phones. In my opinion. If we get a penny, we'll hit a dollar.

Sincerely,
Ben
