Dave, At this point in time, it is unclear what the purpose of the "debt" offering is. Is it to pay the current portion of their LT Obligation? It doesn't sound as dramatic as: "Another desperate AMD move to generate revenue for capital expenditures?", but from Q4 financial statement, the current portion of LT debt is $331 million, and they are issuing $500 million. Issuing these new bonds will leave them exactly where they were at the end of 2000, regarding LT debt. Joe
