Guys and gals. Adults are bound to have different opinions--especialy about controversial issues. Often they will be angrily opposed to viewpoints which seem to dismiss their own. We all expect this, and it does not prevent us from facing our opponents; nor, from allowing them to respond face to face. But times are changing. I posted the following on the moron thread a short time ago after coming home and finding several insulting posts waiting for me. When I tried to respond, I found out that they had banned me (on the one hand, Dr. Id; and on the other, JLA). In the case of Dr. ID (a rather witless and inane poster face to face, as it were)...he becomes pretentious and emboldened after banning me. He takes several posts of insults at me while pretending to the community that I have "run away" from the mighty challenge his intellect represents! It is a new low in cowardice and dishonesty, IMO. But perhaps it is the way of the future, ladies and gentlemen. The morons and cowards are going for world dominance by wiping out their oposition through thread banning, and then overrunning them in "debate"! It is a new low in the SI community...
