Air Methods Financial Results for the Quarter Projected to Exceed Expectations DENVER, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Air Methods Corporation (Nasdaq: AIRM - news), a leading emergency aeromedical transport company, today announced that it's preliminary financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2001 exceeded internal objectives. The beginning of the year objective of 15% growth in 2001 net income was also surpassed.

Belsey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Methods, commented, ``The fourth quarter was positively impacted by generally benign weather conditions in many of the markets in which the company provides air medical transport services. Also, flight volume from recent expansions further enhanced overall activity. Consequently, flight volumes for the quarter were significantly higher than historical levels.''
