I'm sure you noticed that I got pretty quiet when it became clear that AMD raised its ASPs and revenue at the cost of 1 to 2 percent in market share last quarter. AMD understood that moving from .25 to .13 during the past 2 years reduced that number of FABs required, and that it should result in chips being less expensive. Intel has locked itself into a high cost structure, AMD hasn't. AMD is in a great position to lower prices, Intel isn't. It's the perfect time for AMD to lower prices and gain market share, too bad for Intel.
