TGPTNDR: "To me this thing's got 'Joint Venture' written all over it." According to the release: "The sale of AMD's 20-year bonds is expected Wednesday night, with pricing terms to be announced on Thursday..." Shouldn't be too long before additional detail follows...That additional detail will include anything other than the terms and the already stated purpose (i.e. use proceeds for capital expenses, working capital and general corporate purposes)is not at all evident from the release... A very curious announcement all the same owing to its "private" placement and its seeming sense of urgency...It would seem that "an event" has recently taken place in AMD's sphere of operations to cause AMD to seemingly "fast track" this $500 million (maybe $600 million) debt offering!!!
