Just think.....with their new deal with motorola and qcom, they have the monopoly on Direct Connect, which they will be taking worldwide eventually. Anybody wishing to utilize this wonderful technology is gonna have to pay the piper.....NEXTEL, as they have an EXCLUSIVE agreement on this.

Personally, I had doubts about nextel for awhile, but I see they have very loyal customers that dont mind paying higher fee's, and they have a nice customer base and awesome technology......I would guess this company gets bought, before they go bankrupt.......too many other companies would love to get their hands on that technology and loyal customer base...especially when thinking about the future when in a couple years that direct connect allows you to push a button in NY and talk to your buddy in australia like he was in the next room......just my opinion, but I think nextel will survive and prosper in the long term......
