Mr. Kevin MacNeill reports
ETRUSCAN LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
Etruscan Resources has launched a new Web site. The new design will provide shareholders and investors with easier access to the company's information database and updates on project activities, particularly with respect to the Ventersdorp diamond project, which has now entered the construction phase. Shareholders are encouraged to visit the site regularly for the latest reports on progress from South Africa as the company moves rapidly forward with development of its first diamond mine.
The Web site address remains unchanged at www.etruscan.com and users may choose between a high-speed Internet connection site or a lower speed dial-up connection site. The high-speed site is recommended for users with broadband connections (DSL, cable, satellite), while users with dial-up connections (less than 56.6 kilobytes per second) should use the low-speed site.
Etruscan recently announced in a Stockwatch press release on Jan. 11, 2002, that it has arranged the necessary financing to put the Ventersdorp diamond project into commercial production. The financing, in excess of $2-million (U.S.) completed Etruscan's acquisition of a 75-per-cent interest in Mountain Ash (PTY) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mountain Lake Resources Inc. and the beneficial owner of seven diamond properties located 150 kilometres east of Johannesburg in the Republic of South Africa. Annual production of 19,200 carats of gem-quality diamonds is forecast from the initial 1.2-million-tonne-per-year processing facility, which would generate $28.5-million (U.S.) in after-tax profits over 10 years. Diamond production is targeted to reach plant capacity by the third quarter of 2002.
