Gosh, sounds so direct and simple. The senators that opposed the changes in the accounting rules were both Dems and Reps. And the foxy lobbyist for the Big Six who opposed the changes was--ta da--none other than Bush's appointee to take over the SEC henhouse. We wait with baited breath.

Oh, don't forget Phil Gramm's role in getting legislation passed under the radar to allow ENE to use derivative financing(off the books) for those subs offshore.

Let's see, that was Dec 2000. Maybe you can blame that on Clinton, too.
