Sam, I tried a couple of times to write a reply to what might appear to be a simple question about my AMAT holdings. Unfortunately, I would have to explain the management of a somewhat complex family investment network in order for you to fully understand the total quantity of shares I control. I prefer not to get into that much detail. I will say that the 300 shares I purchased this afternoon represents about 15% of the 2,000 shares I currently plan to buy as a somewhat long term (semi-equip cycle) investment for this particular retirement account, and that after that purchase is eventually completed, I will control less than 10K shares in total across all accounts.
