New Brunswick Scientific Appoints Dean Panettieri Vice President of Manufacturing
EDISON, N.J., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- New Brunswick Scientific Co., Inc. (Nasdaq: NBSC - news), a designer and manufacturer of a wide variety of research equipment and scientific instruments for the life sciences, today announced that Dean M. Panettieri has been named to the position of Vice President of Manufacturing.

Panettieri, 37, brings more than 15 years of comprehensive operational and business experience to the Company. Most recently, he was Vice President of Operations for GretagMacbeth LLC, an analytical instrumentation company, with accountability for all materials, manufacturing and logistical activities as well as full profit-and-loss responsibilities for its service organization. While there, he was instrumental in developing and implementing a worldwide supply chain strategy, as well as Total Quality Management, Just-In-Time and Lean Manufacturing initiatives that led to dramatically improved gross margins, increased inventory turns and reduced warranty expense. Previously, he spent nine years with Medical Laboratory Automation, Inc., rising through a succession of progressively responsible positions until his appointment as Manufacturing Operations Manager in 1994. Prior to joining Medical Laboratory Automation, he was a manufacturing engineer for Matrix Instruments, Inc.

Panettieri earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University in 1986 and his MBA, Finance/International Business, from New York University in 1991. He has served as Adjunct Professor of Operations Management at Mount Saint Mary College in New York and as an Advisory Member of the Engineering Board of SUNY New Paltz.
