>> % are meaningless, math major, when discussing total intake of protein <<
does the "zone favorable diet" advocate a 40%C/30%P/30%F or not? it says it right in his book in chapter seven. you can't deny that.
>> atkins doesn't limit protein intake, does he? <<
atkins wisely tells you that your body will limit your intake for you by adjusting your appetite appropriately. can you understand this simple concept or not?
>> so, if one is prone to gluttonism, they may eat 20 hamburgers at one sitting should their appetite allow, right? <<
gluttonism? heh. read above. eating lots of protein rich foods (with the associated fat) will curb your appetite and you will have no desire to overeat by wolfing down 20 burgers! far simpler than all that zone calculation bullshit. capiche?
>> but to support something that doesn't limit protein intake to that which is beneficial to the body is nonsense, imho. just like telling folks taking 10 aspirin is 5 times BETTER than taking 2 aspirin. <<
obviously you are having a hard time with the concept of your body regulating your appetite naturally, not the bullshit barry sears way. for crying out loud, haven't you ever eaten a big old fatty steak?? it fills you right up and you have no desire to eat 20 more! perhaps if you actually tried the atkins approach you would see for yourself.
>> abusing your body with too much of anything, imho, is bad. <<
if the only foods i eat are healthy how can i abuse my body? my body has a mechanism in place which says i have enough nutrients for now. it's people that eat anti-nutrient poisons like sugar who can't stop their hunger cravings. not only does sugar have no nutritional value, it robs your body of vital nutrients so it triggers more cravings for food. since the food i eat is packed with all the essential nutrients a body needs my body is constantly stocked with the nutrients it needs to function properly. therefore it doesn't trigger food cravings all the time. that is one principal reason why it's nearly impossible to engage in gluttony on the atkins program. but of course you would know that if you actually read his entire book, like you accuse me of not having done.
>> the establishment is out to lunch on diet, imho <<
we agree on something. |
