Agreed. Rambus was the best thing that happened for AMD since Dirk Meyer joined them.

IA-64 looks like it will be quite a bit more beneficial for AMD than Rambus ever was, but having to compete with AMD will block Intel from succeeding with such a travesty of a design as IA-64.

Every computer user should be grateful to AMD for stopping Intel from cramming their high priced, low performance, generally terrible designs down the throats of buyers.
