Microsoft has correctly pegged security as a coming issue. Right now most consumers have no clue as to what vulnerability they have on the net. Yet the largest complaint volumes that consumers make to government consumer protection agencies are for identity theft. And by a huge margin, with internet auction fraud as a distant second at 10%.

Funny in a way as I constantly see people in Los Angeles using a credit cards to conduct tiny purchases like buying a head of lettuce at Trader Joes. People like that  should  have their identity stolen. Personally I hate using my credit cards. I used to not be afraid to use 'em on the Net because I used the high encryption version of Netscape. Unfortunately Netscape no longer works for me on a lot of sites like half.com etc.

I'm also kind of wondering if home servers aren't going to be coming. OS X and some projects I've gotten involved with have me kind of toying with the idea. A lot of people have an extra computer laying around these days. Hotline and file sharing are getting bigger. What do you guys think. Anybody have a personal server yet?
