I don't make any claim, or I don't mean to. The NYT reported European leaders were complaining the United States was trying to circumvent internationally agreed to protocols regarding prisoners of war. I assumed America was supportive of the Geneva conventions. God, I remember in the 50s and 60s all the world war II movies I saw with american soldiers talking up the geneva convention to nazi captors. Guess I was mistaken, a dupe swallowing hollywood crapola.
