You didn't notice this? There was an effect that dropping those bombs in cities had that could be achieved no other way: it showed how horrible they really are. And kept the US and USSR from using then though 54 years of Cold War. Ad most likely has made evcery other nuclear power hesitate.

There may finally be a good use for the Nobel Peace Prize. Give one to each person killed at Hiroshima nd Nagasaki.
