Msg from DEWWY... [Dave, helpful if] stks chosen by contestants
DEWWY,
Its just my opinion, but seems that Dave Gore is caught between that proverbial rock & hard place in that he does not have enough hours in each day to accomplish whats needed to get this thread to where he has a vision of it, plus do all those others needed tasks.
Dave has requested others on this thread to add to this thread any abilities they have so that he need not invent any wheels that have already been made. Also, i may have read what Dave said, but i think he is "weak" in certain tool usage that helps display data in charts and graphs.
Before Dave starts his second contest it would be good if Dave obtains help from others that have ideas and working knowledge from other contests run on Silicon Investor so that details like you and most all others wish to obtain in an easy way can be done.
Hopefully Dave can gear-up this simple first contest with many more bells and whistles before starting his second and much more complex one.
The following post i made a few days ago where the info you requested is found in an indirect manner. Dave has not commented on concerns i spoke in my post, telling me Dave has not enough time in these recents days to do "it all" :o) and needs help.

As reference, the following. Message 16869866 From: Dave Gore Sunday, Jan 6, 2002 CONTEST ENTRANTS - YOUR INDIVIDUAL PORTFOLIOS (final list) 1-Twick:.. 31-Sir Realist, DG (unofficial entry) I was going to... but... Questions: (from me to Dave Gore) I clicked on Twick's individual entry from above url get for SEBL gain/lost +20.7% while using the portfolio at beginning of this thread get +23.2% hopefully i'm not following instructions, but if i am and this race needs a photo finish, then which is the correct value will be a question to answer. I'm not able to find Twick's second pick, XMSR in the portfolio displayed at top of this thread, nor my two picks. I'll stop here incase i'm really doing another dummy and is causing you to spend time correcting me. doug |
