Jay, one of the things I consider certain, not probable, is cosmic impact into the atmosphere or ocean causing a very large splash and resulting tsunami.
Therefore, I'm not likely to buy a beachfront property unless it has an elevation of about 100 metres with submarine topography leading to no wave-focusing. Ideally, I'd go for 1000 metres, but I'm stuck with some statistical risk and a 1000 metre wave at my doorstep isn't all that likely. But small waves are a dime a dozen.
On the Aztec stuff, I'm not impressed that some worried Japanese are wasting their money buying gold to stash in their mattress instead of yen.
The solution is to rob savers and that's what's being carried out. Savers, like taxpayers, are sacrificial sheep to be consumed in the interests of the greater good. They will bleat, as always, but too bad. Let's eat! I don't like it, but I've learned over the decades to adapt my life to what is, rather than what I'd like it to be, while trying to change things to how I'd like them to be. As in tribal communities, if cruelly-treated too much, savers and workers just give up and don't produce because it's just stolen from them.
Now, off to Symphony Under the Stars... music in the park [200,000 people].
