I read the story earlier, but not from that paper of yours. Liked the photo and the relief map link shows me you're a long way from the tree line. Arctic Cam is neat, reminds me of hoarfrost. If you're going to visit Frank, just head east through the Yukon til you hit the Mackenzie and turn right, keep the moutains on your right, head upstream and keep going, and going. I've only been as far as Grimshaw, Alberta which is only at the very start of the Alaska highway near Peace River. I've been in Calgary when a Chinook hits and the temperature has changed about 40 C.

I really liked this though. It reminds me of how you can see the light of the sun on the horizon for so long before someone can actually call the crack of dawn.
